The Margaret River Guide Review

On first impressions, from outside, Palandri Winery is a big, modern and imposing winery situated on the Bussel Highway just north of Cowaramup. What comes to mind now is the saying of “never judge a book by its’ cover”.

On entering Palandri I was greeted with a friendly smile from Emily, their floor manager, and instantly felt relaxed in the open environment.  The wine and goods were very well laid out and the open plan cellar door felt like it flowed into the cafe nicely. I then met with Craig the wine sales manager who was good company and very open to talk about not only Palandri but the region as a whole.

Palandri pride themselves on offering guests great value wine, real food and lots to entertain the kids (football, cricket, computer games … to name a few).  They certainly provide all this and more leaving me pleasantly surprised.  I left with three bottle of wine under my arm (each from different ranges) to have at home and having now enjoyed them I can easily understand why they won their most recent gold medal for their 2007 Vita Novus Cabernet Sauvignon.

In all Palandri Winery is a place where I can imagine everyone being happy with good wine, food and family entertainment in Margaret River.

About Benji

I am married and live on a farm near Margaret River with my wife, daughter and son. I set up The Margaret River Guide to assist people coming to Margaret River Western Australia to easily find what they are looking for. I also wanted to allow people to find activities they did not know about and to be able to openly comment on/ review businesses.
