Margaret River Wine Festival 20th Edition

In 2011, the Margaret River Wine Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary, so the organizers are putting up a special edition that you will not want to miss, starting with the festive Dunsborough Street Fiesta on 17th March and the Margaret River Street Fiesta on 18th of March (both are free events).

The Petanque and Wine event will take place over two days (19th and 20th March) at Wise Wines and requires a fee of $75 per team which can be paid on the spot.

The Margaret River Wine Festival is the ideal occasion for tourists to taste the best Margaret River wines and indulge in delicious local cuisine. It is a showcase of local wines, food and artisan works that represent life in Margaret River. The great events organized during the festival will provide entertainment for both children and adults, as well as an unforgettable experience in the South West of Australia.

With so many things to experience during the festival, it is no wonder that it has become one of the region’s most popular annual events. Thus, finding accommodation in Margret River during 17th and 20th of March may be difficult if you do not book your room in advance. The 2010 edition was a success as tourists have occupied the entire city and the 2011 is expected to be an even bigger event. People planning to taste the local wines during the festival are highly recommended to book a room as soon as possible and purchase the access tickets they will need in due time.
