Wildflower Season in Kings Park

In September and October , the annual spring Wildflower Festival in Kings Park is on show . View the abundance of different colours displayed by our native wildflowers. The signature kangaroo paws, the pretty everlastings and large variety of banksias are a few of the many spectacular flowers that are on display during the wildflower season in Perth.

Lotterywest Federation Walkway

Take a stroll along the Lotterywest Federation Walkway in Kings Park – it’s a scenic walk high up in the trees, which gives visitors a stunning birds eye’s view of Kings Park. You’ll also be in for a treat with commanding views of the Perth skyline, the Swan and Canning River, South Perth and the Swan Brewery. 

State War Memorial

The State War Memorial is located on Mount Eliza within Kings Park. Pay your respects to Australian soldiers who fought for Australia, including WWI and WWII. The eternal flame burns night and day to honour the soldiers who fought and died for Australia and her allies.

This café has a casual atmosphere and is the hub of activity every day, especially during the weekends. Lots of scrumptious snacks and lunch treats await you at the Botanical Café.

Wester Power Parklands

If you have children, definitely take a swing by the Western Power Parklands, located on the side of the park closest to Thomas Street. The kids will love the playgrounds and be entranced by the life sized dinosaurs.
