Diana Krall To Headline Leeuwin Concert

Canadian Jazz singer and pianist, Diana Krall, will headline the 30th annual Leeuwin Concert Series together with Perth Symphony Orchestra on February 15th and 16th. Australian Jazz virtuoso and trumpeter, James Morrison, will appear as a special guest. His post-show “Motown Revisited” performance promises to keep audiences entertained until late. Gourmet Escape To Tantalise Tastebuds

With Margaret River Gourmet Escape just around the corner, wine and food lovers are gearing up for a spectacular weekend. Starting from this Friday, the three-day festival will showcase an unmatched line-up of over 25 local, Australian and international wine and food celebrities including Rick Stein, Heston Blumenthal, Alex Atala, Neil Perry, Adriano Zumbo and Sat Bains. Chloe Secures Jets Spot

Chloe Daniels of the Margaret River Senior High School is delighted to have secured a place in the Southwest Jets netball team. The year 10 pupil took on around 25 contestants in two rounds of trials to secure the spot. She will now travel to Eaton and Perth every week to participate in the WA State Netball League. Chloe has been playing the sport for the last six years. She hopes to represent WA one day.

Centre Marks Its 15th Anniversary

The Margaret River Recreation & Aquatic Centre is celebrating its 15th anniversary this Friday and the local community is invited to attend a free, all-ages themed party on Friday. Taking place at the Recreation Centre on Wallcliffe Rd from 4pm to 7pm, the event will include face painting, bouncy castle, free classes, demonstrations, rollerblading, an extra large-sized birthday cake and a pool party. Guests are being asked to wear crazy colours for an opportunity to win fabulous prizes.

Opportunity To Help Victims Of Philippines’ Typhoon Haiyan

Fundraiser For Royal Flying Doctors

The parent and citizens committee of the Augusta Primary School is organising a Family Fun Fair this Saturday to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The fair will be held in conjunction with Augusta Hotel Poker Run and take place at the Augusta Hotel starting from 2.30pm. It will feature show bags, face painting, kids’ games, play dough fun, raffles and bouncy castle. There will also be Poker Run motorbikes and an RFDS helicopter display.
