Art Auction In Support Of Greens Campaign

The Greens WA will hold a charity art auction to support their south west campaign during the upcoming state election. “Art with Heart” will take place at Cullen Wines on February 15th to fundraise for Giz Watson’s campaign for the South West seat. Family Fun At Edwards Winery

Edwards Winery in Gracetown held their annual family fun day last Sunday to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. The event featured loads of exciting activities including hair colouring, face painting, pony rides, live music entertainment, food and drinks. People of all ages and backgrounds came to enjoy the lovely setting and help raise money for a very important cause.

Men’s Shed Opens Doors

Cowaramup Men’s Shed will open its doors for local men this coming Sunday. The Open Day will be held at the shed, situated at the old saleyards precinct. Meet The Minister

Locals have the opportunity to meet Minister for Regional Development & Lands and the Nationals WA leader, Brendon Grylls, as he visits the town on February 06th. Mr. Brendon will be joined by Nationals’ South West MLC Colin Holt and Nationals candidate for Warren-Blackwood, Terry Redman, for an informal community meeting. “This event is an opportunity for community members to hear about the work the Nationals have been doing to imp rove services and infrastructure locally and across regional WA,” Redman said.

Circus Festival Amuses Spectators

Karridale’s WA Circus Festival had spectators laughing, cheering and even taking part in some circus acts over the weekend. The three day festival drew huge numbers of locals, national and foreign tourists, some of whom enjoyed on-site camping. There were around 30 different circus acts including acrobatics and comedy. The Lunar Circus team is looking forward to holding the festival again next Australia Day weekend.

Mum Support

The Margaret River section of the Australian Breastfeeding Association will be hosting their first meeting for mothers and expectant mothers on February 06th. Hosts will be Andrea Roche and Donna Livingstone, who will run educational talks on different topics related to breastfeeding. Everybody is welcome- mothers, fathers, grandparents, children, friends and expectant mothers.
