You can get yourself involved by either exhibiting, sponsoring or just paying a visit to enjoy the great show.

The news article “Margaret River Farm Day Out” has all the information you need about this event. It says, “On display will be Sam and Sascha Watson’s liberty horses, the launch of a new strain of Cleanskin Sheep and numerous local and supporting exhibitors including wineries, goat breeders, alpaca breeders, and mini-Hereford cows. Group exhibitors include Fair Harvest Permaculture, Bradshaws Mitre 10, Farmworx, Kerfuffle Wines and Koonac Goats.” http://www.margaretrivermail.com.au/story/1122109/margaret-river-farm-day-out/?cs=1807

For music lovers, the Margaret River Farm Day Out will feature Samantha Clarke, songstress and star of Les Miserables showing at Perth’s Regal Theatre. The event will also see the commencement of a Cleanskin Sheep Strain.

Visitors will be able to enjoy helicopter rides, view artworks by Rebecca Cool and meet local resident Cecil Noakes with his rope maker.

Riding for Disabled will be there to talk about the fantastic work they are undertaking with regard to horse-assisted therapy. Also present on the occasion will be the Rosa Brook Fire Brigade. They will be willing to meet landowners and answer their questions regarding fire-preparedness on their land.

Brent Watson took the decision to organise the event with the aim of showing off Osmington’s farmland, after the area was referred to as a “non-descript” piece of farmland by a national newspaper.

“To Osmington locals the area is far from non-descript, it is their homeland,” Watson said, before adding, “The inaugural Margaret River Farm Day Out is a local event, powered by locals, and wholly funded by locals to share and celebrate their region.”

To be held at the Watson Family Farm from 10 am to 3 pm, the Margaret River Farm Day Out will be taking place at the end of Osmington Rd. at no. 1813.

The concluding event will aim to set the world record for the largest lineup of liberty horses.

Tickets are priced at $25 per family or $10 per head and can be purchased from the gate. Visitors are advised to bring their own chairs.
