Xscape at the Cape Fun Park Family Fun Park Open

Xscape at the Cape Family Fun Park officially opened on Saturday November 17. The park has been constructed within an 11,000 square metre footprint, with it’s major attractions being an Interactive 18 hole miniature golf course, Jump ‘N’ Tramps above ground netted trampolines,  34 foot high Vertical Reality Jungle Mountain, a large turret Little Tykes Tiki Mountain KidZone area, incorporating a Tiki Island Inflatable and a Rio Grande Zamperla Kiddies Train. Another key attraction is a substantial wooden maze, The Mine Shaft Maze, with a Vortex tunnel entry incorporated within the maze.

Douglas G. Campbell, Director and Proprietor of an Australian family company Fernhall Pty Ltd. has been involved in the leisure and amusement industry for the past 40 years. He has owned and constructed four leisure parks and been actively involved in the construction and design of other parks in Western Australia.

Douglas Campbell’s company was the first organization to introduce waterslides into Australia some 35 years ago. Douglas sold one of Perths’ Western Australia’s leading leisure parks, The Great Escape at Hillarys Boat Harbour two years ago and envisaged taking a break. However, his enthusiasm, drive and passion for the industry was far too great and has now led him to the development, construction and operation of Xscape at the Cape Fun Park & Ice Creamery in the Margaret River Region in the South West corner of Western Australia, one of Australia’s premier tourist destinations for both Australian and International visitors.

Fernhall Pty Ltd., has partnered with the local Miller Family, who have been dairy farming within the region since 1932, to manufacture ice cream straight from the cow, from the paddock to the cone all within 2 hours. The Millers Ice Creamery in itself, within the park will be a leading tourist attraction.

One of Douglas’ visions for Xscape at the Cape Fun Park is to provide a destination for families and groups to enjoy time together in a healthy, challenging and safe environment. The majority of the attractions have been specifically selected to encourage, develop and strengthen interactions and communications between its guests.

About Benji

I am married and live on a farm near Margaret River with my wife, daughter and son. I set up The Margaret River Guide to assist people coming to Margaret River Western Australia to easily find what they are looking for. I also wanted to allow people to find activities they did not know about and to be able to openly comment on/ review businesses.

  1. Thanks Harry. Yes the fun park looks amazing. I have been but not with the kids so far. Crazy golf is definitely good fun for the family, plus the Millers Ice Cream is always a winner.

  2. The whole family would surely enjoy every part of this park. I personally love the golf course and I am sure the rest of my family would love to try the maze. This is a fun place to go to during the weekend for relaxation and bonding.
