In Season Reasons Spring 2011

Now how did this happen, the e mail went out a day early? I have to say this was my mistake. Sorry for the surprise, not sure if it has most surprised me or you.
Enough of that and it does not detract from the quality we have in Margaret River. Happy reading and learning about whale watching with Naturaliste Charters.

White Wine –
This new seasons whites (2011 vintage) are being fined and filtered ready for bottling and drinking. The 2011 vintage are displaying great fruit aromas with strong acidity. This is a reflection of the year we had being warmer than usual. The varieties that have done best are the Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon from the region this year. The now classic Margaret River blend of these two varieties are showing strong tropical fruit aromas and crisp acidity flavours.

Whale Watching – Naturaliste Charters
Now in their second season of being owned by Paul and Alison this business is truly showing off the whales and the coast line at its best. If you have been whale watching before you will know just how memorable the trip is and if you have not been before now is your chance. Naturaliste Charters are now launching an eco tour also in a fast rib (this boat can circumnavigate Australia) so you can not only sea Whales but Dolphins, Seals, birds and more of the coastline.
Have an inside look at what you can expect with our short interview with Sam (Skipper of the rib).

Wild Flowers –
This is the time of year when W.A comes alive and the South West and Margaret River especially are no exception. The wild flowers are a must see event down here. As a minimum you can combine a trip to Mammouth Cave with a self guided walk through the bush. For those who are more adventurous there are lots of walking trails along the Cape to Cape walk or you can venture off on Mountain Bikes (with Dirty Detours) or in buggys through the bush.
Any you look at it the flowers are stunning and there is no excuse to not make it outside to enjoy all of natures best.

About Benji

I am married and live on a farm near Margaret River with my wife, daughter and son. I set up The Margaret River Guide to assist people coming to Margaret River Western Australia to easily find what they are looking for. I also wanted to allow people to find activities they did not know about and to be able to openly comment on/ review businesses.
