Wind Will and Gravity Tour: Pro Kite Boarding

January 8, 2011

Wind Will and Gravity Tour

Wind Will and Gravity Tour

Kite Boarding is taking off as a major new sport throughout the world, and in the New Year Margaret River is hosting its first Pro Kite Boarding Event known as the Wind, Will and Gravity Tour. This is going to be an event not to miss, because for the first time in the region an awesome group of international pro kitesurfers will be travelling down the WA coast from Cervantes to Albany showing off their skills.

The Wind Will and Gravity contest is a new concept in Kite Boarding where the riders compete for the most powerful jump. It is based on the height, distance and speed as well as skill level and by adding all these factors the best jump is calculated.

Big names participating in the event include Ned Taylor from the UK, Keahi de Aboitiz from Australia and Florian Daubos from France, but there are plenty more who will keep the competition tight. There will also be a big contingent of photographers and filmmakers who will be competing for the best shots in their own competition.

Wind Will and Gravity will be held up and down the coast throughout January, but will be hitting the Margaret River area around the 8th. Stay tuned for up-to-date details and event locations.
