Get ready for a celebration of craft beer in the lovely South West corner of Western Australia. This is the first time in history that the finest of this region’s craft brewers will join hands to celebrate the South West music, local produce and obviously beer!
My favourite – Colonial Brewery IPA, well balanced, hoppy, smooth aromatic aftertaste and with a good sparkle(I also live just 2.3 kms from it, a 30 minute walk!)
Colonial will feature on the weekend with 11 other local breweries and 1 Cidery (2 cideries if you count Cheeky Monkey also make cider as well as beer).
The South West Craft Beer Festival will take place on the weekend of Feb 25-26 at 3 Oceans Palandri Estate on the Bussell Highway, Metricup. The venue will be transformed into a burst of activity, with an anticipated 3,000 attendees coming over to try out the best of South West brews and be amused as the finest of this region’s musicians perform on the main stage throughout the event.
The festival will conclude on Sunday with a peaceful family day, featuring a kids’ entertainment zone to ensure that the little ones are kept busy. Adult day tickets are AUD$25, with admission including a complimentary beer glass, six sampling tokens plus all the entertainment. Sunday family passes are also available for AUD$50, and include admission for two adults and two kids or one adult and three kids.
