Based in Hobart/Melbourne, Let The Cat Out is a roots/Hammond band which plays original music and features some of the finest and most hard working musicians in Hobart. Because of their energetic live shows, the groovy blues-influenced band has earned itself a loyal fan base in their native town. When their soulful vocals and soaring guitar are added to rock-solid rhythms, the result is this contagious energy which music lovers just can’t get enough of. The diverse backgrounds of its members from jazz to blues, funk and folk have also contributed in taking the listeners on a breathtaking journey when they listen to Let The Cat Out’s tunes.
Apart from releasing their first album in 2008 titled ‘Get It Like That’, Let The Cat Out has continued to perform at several venues, gathering more audience each time they take the stage. Some of the artists the band has performed with include ‘Good Buddha’, ‘The Cat Empire’, ‘San Lazaro’, Candice Monique and ‘Symbiosis’.
Now, Let The Cat Out plans on touring more places across Australia and Settlers Tavern will be one of their stops.
