The Augusta River Festival on 6th March is one of South West Australia’s favourite family events to attend in 2011.
The Augusta River Festival is an annual festival held every year since 1996. The Augusta River Festival is a great way for families and the community to connect, through a series of fun filled land and water based activities, fabulous food, workshops, and performances ranging from circus shows, acrobats, musical performances, sailing races, kite making and so much more!
Set against the gorgeous backdrop of the Blackwood River, this year’s event also features a special youth day at the Augusta Centennial Hall. Along with the abundance of food and music, Scitech Roadshow will also be organizing a host of educational activities for children on 5th March.
The popular “Blackwood Regatta” at the end of each Festival attracts about 5,000 spectators each year and is something you will not want to miss. And don’t forget about the spectacular fireworks display over the Blackwood River – a stunning scene in a beautiful natural setting. So head on out to the Augusta River Festival for a fun filled day with your family and loved ones!
