Heritage Sites

Geographe Bay is known for its scenic beauty and its many attractions, both natural and man-made. The many wineries, vineyards, parks, restaurants and heritage sites that bring tourists flocking to the region are promoted, protected and supplemented by the experience offered by the many tours and Geographe Bay businesses that can help you have the vacation you’ve always dreamed of.

  • Ellensbrook: Ellensbrook is located in the Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park in Margaret River. It is a heritage site that was built in 1857 as a home for the Bussel family and became the property of the National Trust in 1979. A significant representative of the pioneering days, the property is now open for visitation.
  • Busselton Museum: Through ten display rooms housing photographs, materials and memorabilia, the Heritage Butter Factory traces almost 200 years of Busselton’s history. The items displayed represent social, familial, civic and maritime changes in the region and include everything from kitchen items, clocks, formal clothing and records to bedroom furniture, entertainment and butter making.
About Benji

I am married and live on a farm near Margaret River with my wife, daughter and son. I set up The Margaret River Guide to assist people coming to Margaret River Western Australia to easily find what they are looking for. I also wanted to allow people to find activities they did not know about and to be able to openly comment on/ review businesses.
